We have some possible updates regarding the use of the Universal Player app. This applies to users currently using the Universal Player app and not to users that are already using their preferred third-party player app. Also, this is currently tentative until further notice is posted and we are providing an early notice for those that are able to quickly perform the switch
Your current Universal Player app will continue to work with an already connected account, we are seeing issues with attempting to add a new user / login by entering your assigned details - you will see the error message "Could not connect to the Server !"
We acquired the services to develop the Universal Player app by a very reputable company in the media playback software space. But recent changes of their business practices and models do now require us to unfortunately slowly close out access to the Universal Player app
What does this mean? Simply put it, the software that you use currently which we term as a 'player app' will be changing - it is important to note, nothing is changing with your subscription with Jungle Media but only the means of which software/player app you will use to access it
So what options are available for a new player app to use? The type of software needed is very niche. And as such, the quantity of player apps available are very limited - with those that are bug-free and easy-to-use even more so - and not entirely free-to-use. If you consider yourself using this type of service for the foreseeable future we do highly recommend at least purchasing one of the more reputable player apps which they do carry life-time license purchase options, and with that - you could use that player app with any service provider and not just with us as the method of connecting between different service providers generally remains standardized
For Android-type devices, which include your Amazon Fire devices, Android TV boxes, etc. - we present 2 options:
1. Tivimate - in our opinion, the best available player app out there for Android systems (https://tivimate.com/)
2. IPTV Smarters Pro - you'll see very close similarities from this player app to your current Universal Player app (https://www.iptvsmarters.com/)
For Apple devices, we cannot more highly recommend the UHF app (https://www.uhfapp.com/)
